Aoife was coveted by Nicolette for as long as she knew about her. Out of pure luck, she was acquired in 2025 to become a part of MSS’s Connemara breeding program.

Aoife is a beautifully sound riding pony, going WTC and able to jump around 2’6”. Nicolette started foxhunting her in the fall/winter of 2025, and she absolutely loved it! She has been working on her dressage and over fences work and is taking to it superbly.

Aiofe showed in the Purebred Connemara Mare class in June and came away with FIRST place. THEN, she went right back in for the championship, and SWEPT the entire Purebred in-hand division as CHAMPION PUREBRED CONNEMARA.

She has started hunting this summer/fall 2026, with plans to continue until Christmas. Hopefully, she will be able to get out to some horse trials as well!

Aoife also attended the 2026 ACPS Region III show, where she was Champion Purebred Hunter AND presented for her potential Premium Mare Status — PREMIUM MARE STICKER HAS BEEN ATTAINED!!!

She has been checked in foal to BSF Golden Snitch for a PUREBRED foal. Foal will be available to purchase in utero after 60 days. Gendered to be a filly, but never 100% accurate!

Aoife came to MSS a very untrusting pony. But she is an incredibly sweet mare who wouldn’t hurt a fly. Nicolette has spent the last year and a half working very hard to earn her valued trust, and now she is flying along in her training!

She is a forward mare, but extremely soft in the bridle and will whoa on a dime if asked by voice command. She has just gotten four shoes for the hunting season and has become a NEW and invigorated WOMAN!! She rides well in spurs and has been a very willing participant in any and all shenanigans here on the farm and off. Hoping to have her going first flight this season.

Her foal with Snitch should be a perfect cross of quiet and pleasantly forward.
