Our hunters and competition horses

1996 Oldenburg x Thoroughbred mare

Trophy has been one of our top horses for six years. She has hunted for seven seasons, while also showing and eventing. In 2007 she and Rosemarie were the Aiken Eventing Series Novice Champions. Daughter Nicolette competed her durng the 2nd half of the season successfully at Preliminary in Area II. Trophy has a 2004 Holsteiner son, L'amoureux, by Love Affair who, at 17.2, is quite spectacular

2003 Thoroughbred x Appaloosa/Quarter Horse gelding

Foxy was bought as a three month old in Canada and has been raised and trained by us at Virginia Field Hunters. He was the first 4 y.o. to qualify for the Young Event Horse Champs. He competed at the 2007 AEC in Novice Horse Championships with Nicolette. He finished up the 2007 season as the USEA Area II Beginner Novice Reserve Champion. He is now the first 5 Y.O in the country to qualify for the YEH Champs in Sept. 2008

"Zuco" is a lovely 17.2 hand gelding with a fabulous temperament and movement. He has started hilltopping with Thornton Hill with Grosvenor. He spent the 2008 winter with us in Aiken.

2E's sire competed Intermediate and is dam won the Govenor's Cup at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto as a two year old. Abdullah and Merkur were great producers of jumping horses in their day.
